Meeka CaldwellMeeka Caldwell is a wife, mother of four and a dedicated advocate in the Down Syndrome community. Noticing she couldn‛t find any children‛s books representing African Americans with Down Syndrome, she decided to write A Friend Like Anian ased on her son. This is the first of a series of children‛s books, published by Brown Baby 321, representing African Americans and highlighting community, friendship and dispelling any misconceptions regarding people with special rights.
