Max SteenckenMax Steencken called his grandmother, Nan Conta, and asked if she could teach him to draw over Zoom. From his living room in New York and her back garden in Oregon, the two began the adventure of drawing and storytelling that would lead to The Nestleurrow Chronicles. Each character in the story reflects the authors' beloved family members, friends, and acquaintances.

Nan Conta lived in Argentina for thirty-five years before moving to Beaverton, Oregon. Her husband has since passed, and she lives near a son, daughter-in-law, and a wonderful group of friends. Her two other children and six grandkids live out of state, including her grandson, Max. He lives in central New York with his mom and dad, little sister, their dog Chip, some hens and chickens, several bunny rabbits, and an imagination filled with budding inventions and great ideas.
