Mavis PachterMavis Pachter was born in South Africa in 1947. She attended the University of Cape Town where she studied for a Social Science degree. Since emigrating to England in 1986 with her husband and daughter she has worked as a Social Worker in hospitals ad the community. She has attended courses through Citylit, performed at open-mic poetry evenings, and is presently a member of two writing workshops.
