Mauricio TroncosoProf. Dr Mauricio Troncoso is Associate Professor of Commercial Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (since 1996), where he teaches Competition Law, Company Law and Contract Law. He has over two decades of experience in Competition Law. H has written two books and several articles on competition company and patent law. He has been visiting professor at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and lecturer in many universities of Europe, America and Asia, among them the Hong Kong University, National University Singapore, Chicago-Kent University and Università degli Studi di Padova. He holds degrees from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (LLB, Bachelor of Law, 1989, with major honours) and Universtità degli Studi de Bologna, 1993 (Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude), where he wrote his PhD on Predatory Pricing. He won the First National Award in Law Degree (1988-1989), the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Award in Social and Legal Sciences (1988-1989) and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Faculty of Law Award (1989). He has been Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Scholar, foreign professor nominated to carry out research in Germany (2007-2008) as well as Visiting Researcher at Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, Munich (2007-2008). He has been Coordinator of the Project 'E-Learning on Patent Litigation' of the European Patent Academy (European Patent Office) (2013) and has participated in the working group on the Patent Declarion of the Max Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, Munich (2011-2014).
