Mathew Olusoji IloriMatthew Olusoji Ilori, FAS, is a Professor of Microbial and Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a former Dean of the Faculty of Science and a faculty on the SEAPHAGES program of the University of Lagos with Howard Hghes Medical Institute and University of Pittsburgh, USA. Professor Ilori has supervised 16 PhDs, has 165 publications comprising of 115 articles in international and national peer review journals, two (2) books and 48 conference papers. His current research is on optimizing the production of maize and rice growth hormones by rhizospheric microbes. He is a Fellow of Fulbright, Alexander von Humboldt, Royal Society and the Academy of Science (Nigeria). He is a member of several professional associations including the American Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria.
