Mary HoangMary Hoang creates transformational experiences grounded in psychology and music to help people heal and evolve. As an entrepreneur, artist, head psychologist and founder of mental health organisation The Indigo Project, Mary is tearing down the wall of traditional psychology and finding inventive ways to help people navigate life. After her father's death in 2017, Mary turned to art and writing to explore how the darker aspects of life hold the keys to insight and purpose. Exhibiting at Vivid Sydney, the Art Gallery of NSW and festivals throughout Australia, Mary's powerful art installations take the form of contemporary rites of passage. Sound plays a vital role in Mary's work. She has developed a unique format of audio experiences called 'sonic embodiments', created alongside composer Phondupe (Rich Lucano). These moving experiences informed ground-breaking research with the University of Melbourne on the positive impact of music on mental health. Mary is excited to be embarking on a new adventure into psychedelic-assisted therapy and is currently working with the Southern Hemisphere's first training program in the field.
