Marva BourneDR. MARVA PACHOT BOURNE migrated from Trinidad and Tobago and has lived in the United States for almost forty years. She followed her dreams and against all odds earned a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University. She nd her husband, Dr. Kenrick Bourne live in Visalia, California, where she practices as a licensed MFT. Her passion has always been building resilience in the marginalized, disenfranchised, and traumatized. She and her husband are the proud parents of two adult daughters, Candice (the book's illustrator) and Dannette, and they are grandparents to four beautiful grandchildren.
