Marlene AsselinMarlene Asselin began her career as an early childhood teacher and was head teacher at the University of British Columbia Study Centre from 1983-1987. Now an associate professor at UBC, Marlene's research interests are in literacy education, informaton literacy, and school librarianship. Her literacy courses introduce new teachers to the world of children's literature, and the important partnerships they need to make with teacher-librarians.
