Eisenberg, MD, MPH, is Professor of Medicine and Director of the MD-PhD Program at McGill University; Staff Cardiologist at the Jewish General Hospital; Associate Member of the McGill Department of Epideiology and Biostatistics; and Director of the Cardiovascular Health Services Research Group at the hospital and a Principal Investigator at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology (Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research). He served for 18 years as Director of Clinical Research of the McGill Cardiology Fellowship Program.Andrea L. Cox, MD, PhD, is Director, Medical Scientist Training Program, Professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a member of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. She is an internationally recognized leader in studies of the host immune response to chronic viral infections, including HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C (HCV). She leads the largest prospective cohort study of acute HCV infection designed to enable detailed molecular analysis of HCV transmission, host immune responses and virus sequence evolution. A teacher, advisor and mentor of physician-scientists, Dr. Cox is a faculty member in the cellular and molecular medicine and the immunology graduate programs at the School of Medicine. Dr. Cox also serves as the faculty advisor for the Association of Women Student MD-PhDs.
