Mark DufreneMark was born and raised by a French-Bayou Cajun speaking Catholic family. He was born again at an Assembly of God Church in 1975. This experience transformed him from an alcoholic, drug abusing teenager into a Spirit-filled believer. After meeting hs wife Dianna, they began a ministry to the unlovable homeless, alcoholic, drug addicts on the streets of the New Orleans French Quarter. After a time of preparation, they moved into the pastoral and church planting ministry. They have planted four churches in the U.S., one of which they currently pastor, Cumberland Worship Center in Crossville, Tennessee and helped build four churches in Romania.Mark also serves as presbyter for the ministerial organization Global Fellowship and serves on the Board of Directors for International Gospel Outreach, a mission training and sending organization located in Semmes, Alabama. Mark attended Christ for the Nations Bible School in Dallas, Texas and in 2010 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Midwest Seminary of Bible Theology for his work in missions and evangelism.A gifted, creative communicator, Mark has preached the gospel over 7,000 times via radio and live audiences. Though serious about the gospel, Mark has a great sense of humor often telling jokes, loves Cajun humor and performs comedy routines at local charities and assisted living communities.
