Mark Ashthorpe

Mark AshthorpeMark was a Hampshire police officer for thirty years, retiring in 2011, as a detective chief inspector. In the police, his particular interest was the control and management of sexual and violent offenders, and the investigation and support for vulneable victims, such as domestic and child abuse victims. Mark was fascinated by the inter-relations between dangerousness and vulnerability. Mark started writing books which explore this, when he was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy. Zodiac is his second novel. MSA cruelly changed the life Mark loved. We utterly admire the way he faced this challenge, to write the books he knew he had inside him. Mark died in December 2019. He is missed so much, by so many people, and we are very proud that his voice and his work lives on in his books. To find out more, visit www.markashthorpe.co.uk. Read More Read Less
