Mario J Giordano

Mario J GiordanoBorn in Philadelphia in 1925, Professor Giordano grew up during the Great Depression and served in the U.S. Navy as a Sea Bee in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, he used the G.I. Bill to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, here he graduated with honors, earning a B.S. and an M.Ed.During his 35-year teaching career, Professor Giordano was passionate about his students' learning and recognized the importance of innovation in education. He was frustrated by students who fell behind and those who found the pace of learning boring. From his experience, he realized that schools didn't teach one critical skill: how to learn. His expertise in education and business management led him to create educational systems for both the U.S. government and private industry. He developed Distributive Education and the Non Lock-Step Educational System, two of his major accomplishments.Professor Giordano was not only an innovative educator but also an American patriot. He was well-versed in the philosophy of individual freedom, the history of Western Civilization, and the concepts of free-market entrepreneurialism, which are the foundations of the United States of America. To learn more about his lessons on these subjects, you can read the book "UnaLIENable: What It Really Means and Why It Matters" on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Read More Read Less
