Marina YaguelloMarina Yaguello teaches Linguistics at the University of Paris VII as Professor Emerita. Her book Imaginary Languages: Myths, Utopia, Fantasies, Illusions, and Linguistic Fictions is widely renowned. She was born in 1944 in Paris, France. She has autored a number of books on sociolinguistics, particularly those that address how women interact with language and how language is being feminised. These include Les Mots et les Femmes, a sociolinguistic approach to the condition of women, Alice in the Land of Language (1981), The Sex of Words (1989), and Les Fous du Langues (The Flies of Languages), among others.
