Marietta StankovaMarietta Stankova studied modern European history at the Universities of Sofia, Budapest and Oxford. She obtained her PhD from the LSE, where she has also taught extensively. She has written widely on Bulgaria, the Cold War and Communism and is an exerienced researcher in the archives of Russia and Bulgaria, and fluent in the relevant languages.
