Marie McGonagle

Marie McGonagle is a former Head of the School of Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway.* She also served as a member of the University's Governing Authority. Her research interests lie in Media and Communications Law, and she hs published widely in the field of national and international levels, as well as drafting many legal and policy documents, contributing to EU and Council of Europe programmes and studies, and advising Government and media organizations. She has held visiting academic appointments at Melbourne Law School; New York Law School; University of Poitiers, France; Programme in Comparative Media Law and Practice, University of Oxford; Institute for Information Law, University of Amsterdam; University of Maastricht, The Netherlands.
