Marian GheorgheMarian Gheorghe graduated from Bucharest University, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and obtained a PhD degree with the same university in 1991. Between 1991 and 1998 he was with the University of Bucharest as a lecturer and then betwen 1998 and 200 with University of Pitesti as a senior lecturer. In 2000 he got a lectureship with Sheffield University. Dr Gheorghe is currently teaching software engineering and functional programming. One of the software engineering modules has a very innovative content involving running projects with real clients in a student-based company. He is interested in computational models and their applications in software engineering, especially formal specifications, and in biology.
