Maria Teresa Ornelas IbarraMaria Teresa Ornelas Ibarra is an author and former schoolteacher from the small city of Lordsburg, New Mexico, where she was born and raised. She grew up in a large family, the tenth of thirteen children. She was active in youth activities and enjoyd visiting the library. One of her lifelong dreams has been to write a book that could be checked out in the city's local library. She has now written three children's books with two others in the works. Her preference is to write books that can be read to children in both English and Spanish.
