Maria Eugenia MarantProfessor Mara Eugenia Marante teaches structural engineering at Venezuela's Lisandro Alvarado University. She attended Rutgers University in New Jersey on an exchange programme, majored in structural mechanics at the University of Los Andes in Venezela, and graduated with a doctorate in applied science from that institution in 2004. Her areas of interest in study include damage theory and its applications to seismic engineering issues, modelling and simulation of the behaviour of solids and structures, numerical methods in engineering, and these topics. At Lisandro Alvarado University in Venezuela, Maria Eugenia Marante co-directs the Structural Mechanics Laboratory (LME), a setting for experimental study in the aforementioned fields.
