Maria Cristina MeriggiolaMaria Cristina Meriggiola M.D., Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Bologna, IRCCS S Orsola Hospital. She collaborates with MIT (Movimento di Identità Trans) one of the most important no-profit Italian organzations where she follows endocrine treatment of hundreds of adolescent, young adult and adult transgenders. At the University Hospital Prof Meriggiola coordinates a program for transgender health that includes gynecological, plastic and otolaryngological surgeries for transgender people. Prof Meriggiola has led many researchers in the field that have resulted in numerous peer reviewed articles presented at national and international conferences.
