Dr. Damaser maintains a Urological Biomechanics Laboratory where they investigate the causes of, and treatments for, female pelvic floor disorders. She received her undergraduate degree in bioegineering sciences from Harvard University, and her doctorate in bioengineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers in 2000, and the Rehabilitation Research Career Scientist Award, Department of Veterans Affairs in 2004.
