Marcia R MorrisMarcia Meredith Morris was born in Danville, IL Her family moved when her father got a new teaching position in Akron, IN, a small farming community where her four grandparents added to her formative life. After graduating from Akron High School, shewent to Ball State University where she earned her BS Degree in Nursing in 1961. Beginning her nursing career in Chicago as staff nurse at Passavant Memorial Hospital, she went on to positions in children's rehabilitation, public health nursing and staffing a pediatric clinic. She and her husband, Leigh, were married in 1967 and they had 2 children, daughter Meredith (now deceased) and son, Curtis. Marcia has been a full-time community volunteer, She's an ordained deacon and elder in her church, where she's served in many capacities, including more than 25 years in the handbell choir.
