Marc G StevensonMarc Stevenson has for over 20 years worked with Aboriginal groups, universities, governments, NGOs, and industrial proponents on a broad range of issues affecting Aboriginal communities across Canada. With degrees in anthropology and archaeology, hehas addressed many of the environmental, social, political, economic and cultural issues and challenges facing Canada's First Nations, Inuit, and Metis peoples. His work among the Inuit in the 1980s led to research outlining the structure of Inuit social organization. More recently, his research interests have shifted towards issues of traditional ecological knowledge, co-management, economic development, social and environmental impact assessment, and Indigenous rights.
