Manuel MaganaManuel Magaña grew up on a farm in the Sacramento River Delta, which inspired the setting of his novel. He is the eldest of six siblings, born to hard-working, Mexican immigrant parents. Together, with God's grace, they learned to overcome hardship ad pursue excellence. Manuel earned his BA in English at Stanford University.
