Mamoon RashidDr. Mamoon Rashid serves the college as Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at Appalachian College of Pharmacy, Oakwood, Virginia, USA. After finishing his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, he joined te Appalachian College of Pharmacy in October 2013. His doctoral research work discovered that the endopeptidase neurolysin is associated to stroke pathology, and remains a potential consideration for developing therapeutics. Recently, Dr. Rashid has contributed two chapters for a book on Bioinspired and Biomimetic Materials for Drug Delivery (Woodhead, Oct 2016). Dr. Rashid's research interest includes both drug delivery and molecular biology. His current projects included development of transdermal drug delivery and stability of marketed drug products and development of analytical method of different products compounded in local pharmacies.
