Mallesh KurakulaDr. Mallesh Kurakula received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, KSA. He is currently a research scientist in the department of biomedical engineering at the University of Memphis, TN. He has a bachelor and postgraduationin pharmacy, having pharmaceutics as specialization. His research is focused on evaluating polymers/ phospholipids of different origins in formulating novel delivery systems intended for enhancing the bioavailability and efficacy of BCS II drugs via different routes. Delivery systems were developed using a cross-section of state-of-the-art technologies such as electrospinning, 3D printing, and high-pressure homogenizers. Currently, he is working on an NIH grant project.
