Malcolm BoydMalcolm Boyd was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1955. Soon afterward he became a freedom rider in the civil rights movement, serving as a college chaplain in two interracial parishes. He was Poet/Writer-in-Residence at the Cathedral Center of Saint aul in Los Angeles, where he also served as chaplain of the AIDS Commission.
