Malcolm a Macqueen

Malcolm a MacqueenMalcolm Alexander Macqueen was born in Orwell, Prince Edward Island, in 1878. After graduating from Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown and Queen's University in Ontario, he made his way to Manitoba, where he quickly became one of the prominent itizens of the city. He was an attorney (solicitor and barrister), but appears to have made his money in real estate. In 1912, he married Harriet (Maud) Riley, the daughter of Robert T. Riley, one of the wealthiest and most prominent businessmen in Winnipeg. Macqueen appears to have retired from active practice of law in 1918 to devote himself to chronicling the Scottish origins of his province of birth, Prince Edward Island. He died in Winnipeg in 1960.
