Maggie LykensMaggie Lykens was born in rural upstate New York. She has always enjoyed the contrast of the changing seasons, wonderful open farmlands, rolling hills, lakes, quaint villages, lovely falls and other virtues this part of the country provides. This is er third children's book written in poetic format, and she takes great delight in this style of storytelling. Maggie loves to base her stories on the memories she has cherished of her childhood, as well as bring a realism to her characters, using her children, other family members, or friends into the context of each story told.
