Madelyn RohrerAfter working in Corporate America in New York State for over 30 years, Madelyn Rohrer retired to Jonesborough, Tennessee, the oldest town in Tennessee and also the home of Storytelling International. She signed on as a tour guide in historic Jonesboough, telling stories of the area to visitors. It launched her into a new career, that of a professional storyteller. Today, as an oral storyteller and published author, she tells stories from the stage, in public and private performances, and through her written works. Madelyn's stories often include antique cars and the antique car hobby, something she has been involved in for 40 years. When on stage and in audio books and YouTube, she often incorporates music provided by her musician husband or lends her own musical talents to the mix. As a freelance writer for a local newspaper, she creates thoughtful and sometimes humorous articles of local interest. As a freelance writer for several multi-regional medical facilities, she creates media and marketing packages for new medical personnel and rewrites outdated patient and caregiver booklets. Madelyn is a public speaker and educator in such areas as self-publishing, working with publishers, and writing and telling historical stories. She does specialty presentations to church groups and historical societies. Her new love is writing for children. She is creating a series of children's books sub-titled The Critter Series. They are either Christian-based or centered around good moral character. Read More Read Less
