Santosh is professorial fellow at the University of Adelaide, Australia, foreign expert and professor at the China University of Geosciences Beijing, China, and emeritus professor at the Faculty of Science, Kochi University, Japan. B.Sc. (1978) frm Kerala University, M.Sc. (1981) from University of Roorkee, Ph.D. (1986) from Cochin University, D.Sc. (1990) from Osaka City University, and D.Sc. (2012) from University of Pretoria. He is the founding editor of Gondwana Research as well as the founding secretary general of the International Association for Gondwana Research. His research fields include petrology, fluid inclusions, geochemistry, geochronology, and supercontinent tectonics. Dr. Santosh is recipient of the National Mineral Award, Outstanding Geologist Award, Thomson Reuters 2012 Research Front Award, Global Talent Award, Island Arc Award, and Thomson Reuters High Cited Researcher recognition.
