M Karen BenwellKaren Benwell has been a nurse for over forty years, working in a men's federal prison and in Canada's north. Her years of dealing with grief and loss, including the impact that residential schools have on people's lives-mentally, physically, and spiitually-and her own dark nights, led her on a long journey of many moves and religions.As she began to deal with her own issues, Karen realized she could look at the world with compassion.
