Luis del Romero RenauLuis del Romero (Valencia, 1980), is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Valencia. He obtained his PhD in the Autonomous University of Barcelona with a thesis focused on innovative urban and regional planing tools. He has worked as a fellow researcher at the Laval University and University of Quebec in Canada, and has been visiting professor at the University of Freiburg (Germany). His field of study is urban, locational and environmental conflicts, focusing on the interrelation between urban and rural space and conflictivity. He is an active member of different international research networks on planning and conflict issues in Europe, Canada and Latin America. He has published different articles in four languages about urban conflicts in Spanish cities, conflicts and gentrification, conflicts in rural spaces and the role of social movements in conflict activity.
