Lowell AngellLowell Angell, born and raised in Honolulu, became fascinated with Hawaiian theatres as a teenager and had his first summer job with Consolidated Amusement Company. He has been actively involved with theatres for more than 45 years as an avid historin and preservationist. He is the immediate past president and current secretary of the Theatre Historical Society of America, a national nonprofit organization; a cofounder and past president of the Hawai'i Theatre Center, the group that saved and restored Honolulu's 1922 Hawai'i Theatre; a former board member of Hilo's Friends of the Palace Theater; and a director of Honolulu's Friends of the Queen Theater.
