Louise HarrisLouise Harris aspired to write since her youth. She published her first poem at age 12 and wrote stories in her youth. She graduated from the University of Maryland College of Journalism and became an editor to pursue her dream. Currently, she is a feelance journalist and novelist. The 1776 Scroll is her first novel, and The 1776 Inn is her second. Louise is past president of the Howard County Chapter of Maryland Writers Association and is a former chairwoman of MWA's Program Committee. She also served as secretary of Society of Professional Journalists Maryland Pro Chapter. Currently, she is the chairwoman of the Bay Area Professional Writers Guild Inc. Member Anthology Committee. She won the Editor's Choice Award for Poetry and is named in the book of 2007 Best Poets by Poetry.com. Her poems are featured in BAPWG's Sink or Swim: How Overcoming Obstacles Makes Life Worthwhile, published in 2016. She wrote a song at age eight and published her first poem at age 12.
