Louis Esson
Thomas Louis Buvelot Esson (1878-1943) is best remembered today as a dramatist, but he was also active as a journalist and poet. In the latter role, he was a significant figure in the development of Australian verse from the humbl bush ballad to more adventurous and personalized forms of poetic expression.
