Loni BierLoni Bier is a native of New York. She attended both Cornell University and Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Medical Communications. She began her career as a projec director for the pharmaceutical division of Young and Rubicam in New York City. From there she assumed the best job of her life; motherhood. After becoming an empty nester, she re-entered the work force and retired from the American Cancer Society in Roanoke, Virginia where she served as the patient liaison between breast cancer patients and breast surgeons. Being a baby boomer has given her life the values that she remains grateful for to this day. Her parents gifted her the principles of discipline, hard work, and the beliefs which will forever be the pillars that guide her life. She currently resides in Botetourt County, Virginia where she enjoys the fellowship of other quilters where she make Quilts of Valor for our veterans. The Quilts of Valor Foundation is an organization very close to her heart. When not quilting, she plays far too much Pickleball. She lives with her husband Tom, who plays more Pickleball than her.
