Lois PhillipsLois Phillips, Ph.D., was the founding executive director of Antioch University Santa Barbara. Her doctoral degree from UCSB focused on gender differences in public speaking. She has also produced and hosted two television shows about women's issues,co-hosted a public radio talk show about current events in Southern California. Her consulting practice focuses on Facilitation of Public Meetings, Board Retreats and Strategic Planning Processes. She also trains and coaches executives, managers, and politicians in organizational communication and presentation skills. Dr. Phillips has participated in Betty Friedan's Think Tank regarding Women and Public Policy, sponsored by USC's School of Management. She was an American Feminist in Residence at Loyola of Concordia University Montreal for a week-long program about the changing roles of women and men and also presented the key concepts of Women Seen and Heard at the Women and Public Policy Institute, Harvard University. She has appeared with and interviewed Betty Friedan, Germaine Greer, Jane Fonda in public lectures and on television.
