Loew KaufmannLoew Timo Kaufmann is an Austrian astrophysicist, planetary scientist, author, and science communicator. Kaufmann's research focuses on observations in cosmology, stellar evolution, galactic astronomy, bulge, and star formation. He has held numerous ositions at institutions at several universities and remained at Reading to pursue a Ph.D. in fetal physiology, with a research project aimed at working out the neural mechanisms that make mammals breathe once they are born. His postdoctoral phase involved work at Bayer University and University College Salzburg. Since 1990 he has written for many newspapers and magazines. In 2000 he founded a training organization dedicated to helping people reduce the time they spend writing clear and successful papers by informing their approach to structure. These workshops were initially delivered to the academic sector; many participants came from a wide range of backgrounds, including business.
