Liz CookeLiz Cooke was born in New York City and divides her time between her beloved Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley. Her interest in photography may be inborn, since she grew up knowing that Weegee, an esteemed street photographer, was her uncle. This set a igh bar that has never been approached! As a college student, Liz received a National Endowment for the Humanities grant to photograph Holocaust survivors and Soviet emigres in her childhood neighborhood of Brighton Beach.
