Liz CiufoLiz Ciufo is a long-time writer, but a new author. She delights in telling stories based on real-life events and experiences and is currently working on a children's series called "Better with Betsy," about growing up on a small farm, in a rural townin southwestern Colorado. She has published two children's books called Skip's Dog, Lola and Jessica's Dog, Cody, which are about her daughter's experiences volunteering for non-profit organizations involving dogs. Liz's third book is an International Impact Book Award winning memoir of her experience as a US Army Military Intelligence Officer in Desert Storm, based on an original journal, entitled A Shoe in the Sand - A Look Behind for the Journey Ahead. Liz was born in California in the early 1960s but grew up mostly in a small town on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. She holds a master's degree in education from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.Liz served in the US Army, US Army Reserve, and the US Air Force Reserve consecutively, is a former Army paratrooper, Desert Storm veteran, and a retired Major. She was also an Air Force military spouse for decades and traipsed around the country, raising and homeschooling twins, and taking care of and supporting military families and spouses. She now resides in southern Nevada with her young adult twins who are pursuing careers in circus arts.
