Liwen TaoGrowing up in China, I didn't have access to children's books. At that time, it was a very poor country. I dreamed that one day, I'd work in a science lab! In 1985 I traveled to the US as a scholar, then went to graduate school. I trained in endodontc dentistry and in 1991 I became an Endodontist! My interest in photography began during our family trips, while enjoying wildlife in it's natural habitat. I have traveled seven continents, climbed the Himalaya, seeking Snow Leopards; searched for Emperor Penguins on the ice breaker; watched Lemurs on a mountain in Madagascar; observed Polar Bears at -30 degrees; and enjoyed seeing a gorilla family in Uganda, as well as Jaguars in the Pantanal of Brazil. I create children's books to share the amazing things I've seen, hoping it will encourage your involvement in wildlife conservation. The Earth is our home. Animals depend on us to protect it and them - their future is in our hands! Read More Read Less
