Lise Lyng FalkenbergDon Powell is a British musician who played drums for famed glam rock outfit Slade.As one of the UK's most prominent bands of the '70s, Powell had a hand in creating many successful songs of the era, including 'Cum on Feel the Noize', 'Mama Weer All razee Now', and 'Merry Xmas Everyone'.In 1973, Powell and his fiancee, Angela Morris, were involved in serious car crash. Powell was in hospital for an extended period; his fiancee, tragically, died. The accident left Powell with short-term memory problems, and no sense of taste or smell.In 2006 Powell, with help from Danish writer Lise Lyng Falkenberg started writing his memoirs.
