She was given CPR by her husband until the paramedics arrived. They defibrillated and resuscitated Lisa before speeding her to St. Georges Hospital in Tooting. There, Lisa's heart experienced further episodes of quivering as opposed to beating and she had to be defibrillated time and again. She remained in hospital for a month.Lisa miraculously survived her ordeal. Her recuperation was gradual, and she still faces daily challenges. With the support of medical professionals, she can manage her condition and live the life she chooses.It took six years of extensive scientific genetic testing and screening to discover her underlying condition.
