Lisa ReburnDr. Lisa Reburn has a PhD in Education and a master's degree in Visual Impairments, as well as master-level endorsements in Education Administration, Early Childhood Special Education, and Orientation and Mobility (a specialty area in the field of blndness). Lisa retired from her thirty-four-year career in education in late 2017. After her first child, Michelle, died at birth in 1992 from a common and preventable but relatively unknown infection called Group B Strep (GBS), Lisa advocated locally, then nationally, for a protocol change to include routine screening for all pregnant women. This advocacy took four years to finally pay off with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Protocol change following a segment on the Today show produced with Lisa.
