Lisa J HardyDr. Lisa Jane Hardy PhD is Associate professor of Medical Anthropology at Northern Arizona University. She has an MA degree in Applied Anthropology from Northern Arizona University, MA and PhD in Anthropology from Temple University. She is the curren editor of Practicing Anthropology; a journal of the Society for Applied Anthropology and Director of the Social Science Community Engagement Lab. Dr. Hardy has published widely in the field of medical anthropology. Her work appears in prestigious journals including Health Promotions Practice, Medical Anthropology, American Journal of Public Health, Qualitative Research, Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Ethics, and Cancer Health Disparities. She teaches various interdisciplinary courses and has research interests in social justice through medical anthropology, policy and systems change, health equity and community engaged research.
