Linda Varsell SmithLinda retired from teaching creative writing, life story, children's literature and Literary Publication which produced the ward-winning The Eloquent Umbrella for Linn-Benton Community College. She taught writing workshops, judges poetry contests forall ages. She gives readings and sponsor poetry events. She was editor for Calyx Books for 32 years, is a former president of the Oregon Poetry Association and current president of PEN Women in Portland. She is a member of Marys Peak Poets, Poetic License, Children's Book Writers, Poetry Readers, Writing the Wrongs to Rights, part of the Women's March.
