Linda PateI was born in Charleston, South Carolina in the 50's when segregation was still prevalent. I understood fi rsthand about the injustice based on the color of your skin. A few of my poems are related to this subject, based on my feelings as a little gil. I started writing in 1980 after my last son was born.
