Vogt, a retired college educator and journalist, is a mystery writer who lives near Portland, Oregon, in the company of fine friends and a devoted terrier-poodle named Scout (who greatly resembles the character of Duffy in the book.) Her debt novel, No Thru Road, was a 2015 Rainbow Awards Runner-up for Best Lesbian Mystery/Thriller.
