Her research interests include the impact of ruled upon the rulers in imperial contexts; international trade and the processes through which imported objects are nrmalized; the identification of sailors' quarters on land in the Late Bronze Age eastern Mediterranean; relations between pastoral nomads and coastal settlers in eastern Libya, Bronze Age to Byzantine period; and the material expression of naval identity in English Country Houses.
