Lina SawitzLina Verbickaite Sawitz was born in Lithuania at the dawn of the Second World War. Her family was moved to Germany as displaced persons, and eventually came to Canada. They started their lives as immigrants with very little. Lina eventually became a eacher at a time when teachers were in demand. She spent 40 years in a career that she loved.
